The low-cost airline Flybondi already has competition in the Argentine market.

Recently, JetSmart, the Chilean airline at very low prices, bought the local company Alas del Sur. The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) already allowed it to operate from El Palomar Airport

JetSmart belongs to the North American investment fund Indigo Partners. After being consolidated in Chile and expanding in Peru, the company headed by entrepreneur Bill Franke bought Alas del Sur, reports the Chilean Bio Bio portal.

Alas del Sur, founded by businessman Damián Toscano, operates from Córdoba and has already requested 36 routes in Argentina. In addition, it has completed the same management with regional destinations such as Santiago de Chile, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Lima and Asunción.

JetSmart implements a strategic plan that highlights the acquisition, announced earlier this year, of seventy Airbus A320 family aircraft (56 A320neo and 14 A321neo). To this are added six other A320ceos aircraft

The airport in El Palomar will be international from November, when direct flights to Santiago de Chile will start operating from the Trans-Pacific company. Andean JetSmart, confirmed the holder. Tomás Insausti

For his part, Flybondi will start taking the plane for Montevideo, Punta del Este and Asunción and Avianca for San Pablo
