Tyler Buchanan, 19, was arrested after applying an electrified extension cord to her baby for the purpose of reviving her, after choking her, so that she stops crying in Arkansas.
The young man was charged this week for the death of his 2-month-old daughter and is accused of capital murder.
According to the information, Tyler had fed the girl and then went to sleep, however, at midnight the girl started to cry and while her mother was sleeping, the young man choked her.
Buchanan first told the police that he woke up and discovered that his daughter was not breathing, which caused her death.
But she later confessed to holding the girl's head against her shoulder to prevent her from breathing
Buchanan is in detention and could be liable to the death penalty if he is convicted.
