The Sao Paulo Forum, which was held in Havana, Cuba, yesterday called on Bolivia and Chile to find a way out of the maritime confinement of the Plurinational State based on dialogue and the international law.

"The XXIV Meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum calls and encourages Bolivia and Chile to find, taking care of the sensitivities of both countries, an exit to Bolivian maritime confinement based on dialogue and international law , and which contributes to the integration of our peoples ", quotes one of the points of the Havana Declaration.

Morales, through his official Twitter account, thanked the Forum's resolution and emphasized that the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague "must unite us and not divide us" with Chile.

Bolivia sued Chile before the ICJ for this court to force the neighboring country to negotiate a sovereign exit to the Pacific Ocean. International demand is in the final stages and a resolution is expected for the coming months.

The Forum was held from July 15 to 17 with the participation of Presidents of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, Bolivia, Evo Morales, and El Salvador, El Salvador Sánchez Cerén. 19659009] [ad_2]
