As part of the monthly meeting of the Financial Stability Board, the Ministry of Finance announced Monday that it had sent a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to officially request technical badistance on cybersecurity. This work would identify potential gaps in the legal, regulatory and supervisory framework and in the practices of financial system institutions.
The Business Continuity Group has also made progress in the work of the Council. In response to the cybersecurity incident that hit the Bank of Chile on May 24 and caused the $ 10 million theft, it decided to reactivate the said working group by a meeting held on Tuesday, May 12. June at Hacienda
It was reported that members of the Business Continuity Group are working on a draft for the signing of an agreement.
