IDP seizes more than 300 exotic birds in metropolitan area

IDP's Crime Against the Environment Unit (Bidema) seized a total of 374 exotics only in the metropolitan area after conducting an international operation with Interpol called Thunderstorm .

As detailed by the sub-prefect Pablo Ibarra head of the unit only during the month of May were carried out eight procedures that concluded with nine persons arrested by smuggled protected wildlife in the capital. This allowed the seizure of various specimens of birds valued in $ 180 million.
