In Cuba there are no capitalist gyrations

Brothers:

Nicolás Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; Evo Morales Ayma, President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia; Salvador Sánchez Cerén, President of El Salvador, we express our convictions here expressed; Companion Mónica Valente, secretary of the Sao Paulo Forum; Dear Presidents Manuel Zelaya, from Honduras; Kenny Anthony, Santa Lucia; Martín Torrijos, of Panama, former Prime Minister Denzil Douglas, of San Cristóbal y Nieves, and the former president of Mozambique, Joaquim Chissano

Delegates and guests of the member parties of the Forum; Representatives of movements and social organizations of the left of Latin America and the Caribbean and other parts of the world; Companions and other participants at the XXIV meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum; First and foremost, receive on behalf of the Cuban Communist Party, the Government and the Cuban people, our fraternal and united salvation.

In July 1990, when many celebrated the fall or end of socialism Le Real and others lost hope, following the imperialist, neoliberal and hegemonic offensive, the Sao Paulo Forum appeared to unite and articulate the forces of the left, badyze the processes that were unfolding and find ways to defend socialism in a new historical stage.

Today, in July 2018, 28 years later, before the capitalist and neoliberal restoration envestida that tries to impose the empire, once again we are convened by the Sao Forum. Paulo, who lasts, exists, is present, with his indispensable role as an essential political actor in the region and a space for consultation of experiences and construction of political alternatives

. The Forum saw that here we have very significant data: 625 participants from more than 51 countries participated in this meeting, more than 60 are parliamentarians; 168 organizations participated; there are more than 120 delegates from the main articulations of social movements on the continent, and for the first time the Sao Paulo Forum opens as a space for dialogue between parties and social movements, a commitment that needs to be maintained and the necessary coordination to follow it. 19659002] For fundamental, historical and emotional reasons, we remember and pay tribute to Fidel and Chávez. We also miss the presence of Lula, Néstor and Cristina, Correa, Daniel and Mujica

Companions and colleagues:

We live in an international situation characterized by growing threats to international peace and security, wars of Intervention, the dangers for the survival of the human species and an unjust and exclusive international economic order.

The world is devoured by the insatiable desire for profit and a frenzied criminal arms race. The planet survives besieged by uncertainties and climatic changes that originate in unsustainable patterns of production and consumption related to capitalist development.

In this crisis context, globalized capitalism is attempting to broaden and broaden its capacity for enrichment. and uses all possible actions to impose a colonizing platform.

The processes taking place in Latin America are an obvious expression of the revival of these plans. Political and economic interests seek to prevent the exercise of self-determination of the peoples of the region; we return to the perverse doctrine of Monroe; the unjust unilateral coercive measures taken by the United States and some of its allies join the scandalous interference of the OAS; the manipulation of media consortia, the private press, social networks in the context of unconventional warfare, create public opinion that causes confusion and discouragement.

History tells us that when a revolutionary or social project, just and more man is set in motion, to the logical and enormous difficulties that social changes generate immediately add up. brutal, diplomatic and even military economic pressures, backed by intense media campaigns of prestige and defamation to punish revolutionary daring with the largest sum of possible acts of aggression, including the threat permanent invasion.

This is the price that our people have paid for defying the rules of the imperial order.

The current US government, led by a discursive line and a very aggressive action in foreign policy, shows a bellicose tendency and an absolute contempt for the institutions It advocates the predominance of the force on the negotiation , defends at all costs hegemonism, threatens and punishes nations that do not support its proposals and systematically opposes international agreements that seek to alleviate pressing problems for the people. Humanity

Once again, the Latin American and Caribbean Left is coming together to reflect on the most pressing issues we face and to devise strategies to combat imperialist aggression and its oligarchic allies. We are doing this at a time when the offensive against the processes of change in the region is applying unconventional methods of warfare, which is evident in the actions, which we condemn firmly here, against Chavez Venezuela, Sandinista Nicaragua, Brazil of Lula and the Bolivian People's Democratic Revolution led by Brother Evo Morales (whom we strongly condemn here)

It is also to provoke breaks through the action of groups or alliances right in the revolutions and in the mechanisms of regional integration as the ALBA TCP which in a few years will achieve great achievements in economic and social, and in the Celac where unity in diversity has allowed us to approve the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace. the commitment to developing mechanisms of integration and political, economic and solidarity collaboration.

The left faces the challenge of saving con conquered, to stop the neoliberalism that comes to us to try to erase the gains made by our peoples.

It is therefore of enormous importance that we devote a special plenary session in this Forum to discuss the thinking of the historic leader of the Revolution. Cubana, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, who was the architect, with Lula, today in unjust prison, of the creation of the Sao Paulo Forum.

As the best disciple of José Martí, Fidel learned and integrated his daily behavior The maxim that the best way to say is to do, and therefore to survive his work, he thought, organized the Revolution, directed it , fought, triumphed, gave dignity to the country, forged an emancipatory work, established a hope for humanity, resolutely and unconditionally confronted with imperialism and grew up with its people and its revolution.

These are reasons why everyone in this room has followed with special attention the testimony and ideas on Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz for each of you, sincere friends of Cuba. I thank everyone for the efforts they have made to accompany us in this tribute.

Fidel brilliantly conceptualized the work on the content of the Revolution, in front of our people, on the occasion of the celebration of May Day, 18 years ago. The Cuban people have badumed and vowed to defend this definition until the final consequences by paying a posthumous tribute.

Fidel was a consistent bearer of dignity and attachment to the truth; disinterestedness and humanism; modesty and altruism; the sense of equality and the willingness to sacrifice oneself; audacity and heroism; patriotism and internationalism as not only fundamental moral and political values, but defining the behavior of those who intend, with complete freedom, to aspire to the revolutionary condition in the sense of Guevarian that we understand, ie By explaining what is the Revolution, that is to say the "full freedom", it has left us a synthesis of the l & # 39; Cuban historical experience to achieve, at the same time, independence, national sovereignty and the full capacity for self-determination. He drew the ethical and political coordinates that should govern the complex process of building socialism, just 90 miles from the most brutal empire in history, which persists in sweeping us off the political map as as a socialist country. 19659002] He demonstrated with convincing facts that the "sense of historical moment" in making the most difficult political decisions in Third or Third, he must accompany the ability to "change everything that needs to be changed" in order to complete the emancipatory work of the Revolution.

He warns us that a real revolution must be able to cope with own forces "dominant and powerful inside and outside the social and national scope". For Fidel, this would be impossible without the protagonist, organized and conscious participation of the people. For him, as for José Martí, only the work that a people defends and appreciates as their own form lasts. We firmly believe that is the case; On the contrary, we would not be here.

Under the pretext that the Revolution never lies or violates ethical principles, it has helped explain why the founding generation of our revolutionary experience, 60 years later, has all authority. moral and political necessary to face the new challenges of internal development, as well as the adversities of the international scenario that you know perfectly well. It is a moral stimulant and a sure political guide for those born with the Revolution and now it is up to us to move it forward.

The attachment to the truth and the exemplary political and moral rigorously preserved by the leaders of the Revolution with Fidel and Raúl at the helm, helps to understand another of the keys that explain why we are moving forward: two characteristics of the Cuban revolutionary process have become sources of legitimacy for their leaders and leaders, but also in the demands that the Party demands of its members and that the people demand from us all an absolute right.

Fidel reminded us with a special emphasis that the Revolution is unity. In fact, it has been and is one of the keys to understanding why we have managed to cope with external aggression of all kinds, and also to resolve, in close relationship between people and senior management of the country, the most sensitive problems with the construction of socialism.

The revolution, Fidel tells us, "is to fight for our dreams of justice for Cuba and for the world, which is the basis of our patriotism and our internationalism."

to the foreign policy of the Cuban Revolution, to the values and principles that governed and governed it.
Addressing the foreign policy of the Cuban Revolution amounts to acknowledging, in the first place, the role played by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, his inspirer, architect, conductor and principal executor.

Secondly, pay tribute to the Cuban people as a decisive actor of the successes it has achieved, not only by voluntarily and heroically participating in countless internationalist, civilian and military missions, but also by consolidating domestic politics. Revolutionary

Fidel has always conceived of political decisions based on positions of principle and non-negotiable moral values, while evaluating with irreproachable objectivity the correlation of forces and the political demands of each circumstance, both in the internal framework and the evolution of the international scene

Preserving and consolidating this projection of our foreign policy is the fundamental mission of the Party, especially when the time has come, as General Raúl Castro said, ". .. only the Party can be the worthy heir of the confidence placed by the people in the only commander-in-chief of the Cuban revolution, the co Fidel Castro. "

Solidarity and the badociated culture of solidarity acquired in the context of revolutionary struggles constitute an additional dimension: that of internationalism, defined by Fidel as" the best essence of socialism. "This was confirmed by the Che and hundreds of thousands of anonymous internationalists to defend the freedom of many Third World peoples and collaborators in the poorest and most needy regions of the world, as well as teachers and professionals around the world Third World, technicians and builders and thousands of specialists who have helped save lives or improve lives in hundreds of countries.

This culture of solidarity has made Cubans more human beings. [19659002] The anti-imperialism, the internationalism and the uncompromising defense of the unity with the countries of the Third World and with all right have projected the Cuban Revolution in front of the world with its own identity since 1959. This identity will be reinforced more and more. Do not doubt it at all.

From the early days of 1959, history brings together Washington's attempts and efforts to isolate us from the world and, most importantly, from our natural environment, Latin America and the Caribbean, and also Cuban victories over this strategy Imperial

The solidarity offered to the national liberation movements of Africa, Asia and Latin America was the expression of strict respect for the internationalism of the Revolution. Such solidarity is exerted when Cuba has been most attacked and diplomatically isolated in Latin America, following pressure from Washington. In the 1970s, mbadive military support to Angola was granted to a brother government that pursued it sovereignly. It was therefore a fair act of internationalism with the attacked.

Dear comrades,

The political and social context of the region deserves the urgent coordination of all the progressive forces of the left, for the construction of an anti-hegemonic platform. The unity of left parties and political movements seems to be the only issue today.

The great continental unity of the left and progressive movements based on respect for national experiences and their protagonists must be a cardinal goal

The rise of the right, unable to give an exit dignified and just to the social problems of our Great Fatherland, makes it necessary to return to the integrationist ideal of the Commander-in-Chief and reorients the fight against unity and the integration of political forces and social movements, to finalize an action plan built between all and achievable. This is the best tribute to Fidel

It is time to move to the conscious and organized offensive. We have the duty to defend our America. Today, unity is needed to arrive at a global vision of the problems we face and their possible solutions through the debate on the Consensus of Our America and Our America in the struggle.

To realize the unity of the revolutionary forces, and its incorporation into a program that transcends the electoral and defines in each of our countries steps for the seizure of power and the construction of new sovereign societies, with the highest degree of social justice possible, anti-imperialist and united; the concretization of an anti-hegemonic cultural and communication front which adds the efforts of progressive governments, left-wing parties and social movements

Strengthening the belief of fighting for Venezuela is to fight for the integration of the region, for the respect of the sovereignty and independence of Our America. Unity is also necessary to demand the cessation of the OAS meddling in the internal affairs of Latin American countries; to condemn the threats facing the Sandinista government from outside and to stand in solidarity with the Nicaraguan people
To recognize and support the Movement for Socialism under the leadership of President Evo Morales, who is making progress in the recovery of natural resources and in the function of improving the living conditions of the population, and constitutes a pillar for the Latin American left, the defense of original cultures and indigenous and popular movements.

Ratify the importance of the Community of the States of Latin America and the Caribbean, Unasur and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America, as expressions of the desire for unity and integration of Latin America and the Caribbean

Reaffirm the importance for the struggle of our peoples in the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean. of peace, in which the inalienable right to choose one's political, economic, social and cultural system is ratified. Offer solidarity to the peoples of Palestine, Syria and the Saharawi Republic. Learn to use more and better the possibilities of technology to flood the truths of the infinite spaces of the Internet world where today lies the lie. We must be more creative in spreading our truths to face our opponents, who may have been lying, distorting and silencing the revolutionary work.

To reiterate the unconditional support for the struggle for social justice and the welfare of human beings without distinction, in any part of the world, and our willingness to share what we have. It is the revolutionary spirit that bequeathed to us the lasting example of José Martí, Che Guevara and Fidel, pursued by the comrade General of the Army Raul Castro Ruz.

Unite also to demand the lifting of the criminal blockade imposed by the United States government. United against Cuba, the main obstacle to our economic development, and demand the return of illegally occupied territory, against the will of the Cuban people, by the North American naval base in the eastern province of Guantánamo.

Companions and Compañeros:

The critical balance of Latin American and Caribbean reality allows us to affirm that despite all the efforts of Yankee imperialism, the flame of rebellion in the Patria Grande, Bolívar and Martí is maintained.

This meeting ratified the permanent presence of the legacy of Fidel, Chávez and Che in our struggles.

Tribute to the Commander-in-Chief and Guerri llero Heroico reinforces our commitment to building a better world.
In Cuba, there is no and there will be no capitalist transfers or concessions to those who, in a thousand different ways, seek to move away from the historicist internationalist positions of the Revolution. . I insist on this point and I ask that it be understood as a solemn oath before Fidel.

I would like to conclude with these ideas and convictions, which I share with Fidel, Che and Raúl, leaders of the internationalist, anti-imperialist and unitary policies of the Cuban revolution

Just wait for us to make efforts and decisions for protect, unite, add, multiply, organize, fight and succeed. The revolutionary and socialist Cuba, Fidelista and Marti, will not give in to their anti-imperialist positions

The Cuban Revolution will maintain its principles of solidarity and internationalism.

We are Fidel and our slogans will be forever:

Homeland or Death! Venceremos!

¡Hasta the Victoria Siempre
