The National Indigenous Organization of Colombia, ONIC, denounces in the report the murder of 2955 natives from 1980 to July 2018.
The National Indigenous Organization of Colombia, ONIC will present to the Special Court for La Paz a report in which he denounces the systematic killings of indigenous leaders in the country.
The presentation of the report will take place on August 9, precisely at International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples according to the principal advisor of ONIC, Luis Fernando Arias .

The document details the crimes and human rights violations that indigenous communities in the country have been victims. It is revealed, for example, that since 1980 to date 2955 persons belonging to indigenous communities have been murdered in the country.
In the latest report from ONIC, the organization reported that since November 2016 through July 2018, there have been 68 homicides against the Aboriginal population. Similarly, during the same period, they reported 161 cases of threats against members of their communities and 5730 cases of forced displacement in the country.

The departments where there are the most violations of the rights of indigenous peoples in the country are Nariño, Cauca, Valle del Cauca and Chocó.
