The results of the eighth Survey of Family Budgets of the National Institute of Statistics (INE) showed that only people belonging to the top deciles have a saving capacity and that, on average, each month, Chilean households spent $ 1,121,000
However, in one of its sections, the entity also revealed which products are most consumed by Chileans living in regional capitals . Thus, 96.3% of those interviewed by the INE indicated that they had bought bread at home followed by 73.9% who admitted to having made some sort of expense for soft drinks, remaining in third place, with 63.2%.
They were followed by tomatoes and chicken eggs, both with 60.9%; chicken meat, with 55.5%; potatoes, with 53.5%; and liquid milk, with 52.6%.
The list was closed by yogurt with 49.6%; and lettuce, with 48%.
