Developers can now ask Apple to access Siri Shortcuts (Siri Shortcuts ), one of the most prominent features of iOS 12 but which until now were not it.
Access is limited and Apple only allows developers registered in its program (annual subscription) to apply for authorization. Developers can request access via TestFlight in the developer portal.
Siri shortcuts allow you to create automated operations that can be invoked using voice messages. The feature had been partially activated from the first beta release of of iOS 12 released in June, but there were only a few shortcuts to device settings; Access by TestFlight allows developers to maneuver with shortcuts in the application that until now were not available.
Apple says the shortcuts for the moment are "limited actions" and are not synchronized by iCloud, according to AppleInsider. Apple also indicates that the scheduled activities that users have in the Workflow application will be migrated to the Shortcuts app. Apple bought Workflow in last March and used application technology as the basis for shortcuts.
Thursday, the same day that Apple opened the access to shortcuts, the second public version of iOS 12 was released: the beta does not have a lot of changes and it does not have a lot of changes. There are only a few adjustments under the chbadis to make the experience more fluid.
