If we have not thought much about the new models of the Threadripper 2 family, we now have 2 more members. Using a filtered and published CPU-Z screen capture by Videocardz, it shows the Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX processor running on MSI's MEG X399 Creation, which was first shown to Computex.
A source, who provided the material, indicates that the chip illustrated in the photograph was provided by AMD (it is probably safe to badume that it is a review sample or a production sample provided to motherboard manufacturers).
Depending on the source, screenshot shows Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX boosting up to 4.1 GHz (Precision Boost mode).
What the "W" stands for in the model name is being confirmed.
