Available on PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.

Mega Man is a household name for video game fans, especially for its longevity. The NES originals had a big impact and then the Super Nintendo X Series expanded its audience, although since then the quality of the games has not been the same as that of those who started it all.

Mega Creation Attempts There have been several, including one made by his own creator – Keiji Inafune – called Mighty No. 9 and whose history of group financing is one of the least happy who are. And now, on the eve of a new official Mega Man (Mega Man 11) comes to consoles one of the clones of the blue bomber: 20XX.

20XX (whose name is not random, as will be seen by those who played Mega Man in the past) is based on Mega Man and specifically in the X series, using very distinctive and familiar elements: a robot that advances laterally by destroying enemies and stealing their special weapons by jumping from one platform to the other, avoiding obstacles, all in a very robotic universe.

But 20XX has something different that is procedural design. In this game, levels are generated with a little chance in each attempt, so some sections are never repeated. Technically, it has a name ( roguelike ) and is the "differentiating" element between 20XX and the franchise on which it is based.

20XX was released a while ago on Steam and it is time to get to the consoles: from today July 10 is available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, while that Xbox One will arrive on July 11 at the price of USD $ 18.

As Mega Man 11 comes up at the end of this year, maybe 20XX will be used to remember these blue robot games who could never be.
