The seventh Criminal Court of Santiago today sentenced Carlos Alberto Saldaña Jara (21 years old), the so-called "king of the portonazos", to a life imprisonment term for his participation in a series of crimes committed in four hours in 2016, those that one of the victims was killed.
This sentence involves a minimum of 40 years in prison before receiving any prison benefit, and adds to 33 other prison sentences that Saldaña has already committed for crimes similar to those presented in the lawsuit. The events alleged by the prosecutor Pablo Antúnez occurred on the night of February 6 to 7, 2016, when the trio committed a series of crimes in the municipalities of La Florida, La Cisterna, Macul, Santiago Centro and La Granja. In the worst of them, the victim Mario Burgos was shot in the chest to oppose the theft of his vehicle.
