"King of Portonazos" has added 40 years of prison to the 33 that already serves

The seventh Criminal Court of Santiago today sentenced Carlos Alberto Saldaña Jara (21 years old), the so-called "king of the portonazos", to a life imprisonment term for his participation in a series of crimes committed in four hours in 2016, those that one of the victims was killed.

This sentence involves a minimum of 40 years in prison before receiving any prison benefit, and adds to 33 other prison sentences that Saldaña has already committed for crimes similar to those presented in the lawsuit. The East Metropolitan Area Attorney 's Office pointed out that today' s sentence is the highest ever handed down for this type of crime.

With this individual, his accomplices, Danitza Javiera Manríquez Hernández (21 years old) and C.B.R.P., minors at the time of the events, were also sentenced to heavy sentences. The three were charged with two homicide robberies, 6 robberies, 2 robberies, one robbery in an uninhabited place, one illegal carrying of a weapon and one for badual abuse.

The events alleged by the prosecutor Pablo Antúnez occurred on the night of February 6 to 7, 2016, when the trio committed a series of crimes in the municipalities of La Florida, La Cisterna, Macul, Santiago Centro and La Granja. In the worst of them, the victim Mario Burgos was shot in the chest to oppose the theft of his vehicle.
