The IEASA reported today that signed a framework agreement with the National Petroleum Company (ENAP) of Chile which sets the rules for the import of natural gas during next three years. As part of this agreement, from July 1 to 31 will enter the country up to three million cubic meters a day across the GasAndes pipeline that crosses the Andean mountain range .
Argentina will import Chile daily equivalent to all daily consumption of gas from Santiago de Chile during the winter months.
IEASA clarified that this import of 93 million cubic meters of gas during the month will replace 100 thousand cubic meters of diesel for the operation of power plants and materialized by the sale of this supply to CAMMESA
"The difference between the value of diesel and the amount agreed for the import of Chile, will allow the Argentine State a saving of 21 million dollars over the next July "said the company.
