Nissan admits that gas inspection reports were falsified

The Japanese manufacturer Nissan Motores admitted Monday to have detected irregularities in 5 of its 6 Japanese factories during pollution measurements of cars. The company also reported having discovered that the inspection reports had been falsified.

Some of the company's employees performed technical inspections without permission, so the company decided to increase controls at the factories.
