The Valparaíso Criminal Court sentenced the accused to a term of imprisonment of 10 to 15 years for the crime of fire which resulted in the death of the municipal guard Eduardo Lara Tapia, a made during the day of 21 March. May 2016 in the port.

The judgment also establishes that Varela Veas must comply successively and effectively with sentences, starting with the most serious, without any penalty of substitution.
Araya Villalobos only attended the reading of the sentence, for which an arrest warrant was requested for the 5 other convicts.
