The President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, has decided to appoint Wladimir Fica Espinoza as governor of the province of Biobío, who will begin the exercise of his duties this Friday. He developed his professional career in construction enterprises of great importance to the Biobío region, such as high school construction, sewerage systems and the improvement of sanitation in the municipalities of Tucapel and Quilleco. In addition, he was in charge of the construction of dikes in the Biobío River.
Before taking office, he was Regional Director of the Directorate of Hydraulic Works.
Fica is 29 years old and was a Regional candidate in the 2018 election of the National Renewal (RN).
