Edmund Zagorski a 63-year-old man, was sentenced to death after being convicted of the murder of two people in the state of Nashville. He therefore received a fatal blow to the presidency.

Zagorski received a first discharge of 1,750 volts for 20 seconds, but continued to breathe after receiving a second shock for 15 seconds. In the end, his lawyer revealed that the man's fingers were broken by the effort he had made by clenching his fists against the band that held him by the hand.
The man was found guilty in April 1983 of having shot John. Dotson and Jimmy Porter to then cut their throats and steal their belongings, after accompanying them to buy marijuana.
