According to the Daily Mail this is the first time in eleven years that the sentence is executed in this manner and not with a lethal injection because it was a request special from Zagorski who considered that it was a way to die faster and less painful.

Eight people, presumed to be relatives of the murderer's victims, as well as a journalist, attended the last moments of Zagorski's life. and recounted the horrors they witnessed on the afternoon of November 1st.

People were standing outside the room where the electric wheelchair was. They were protected by a thick glbad, from where they could see how Edmund 's salt solution was placed on his head, before putting on the helmet that would conduct electricity through his body.
