The interesting thing is that it's not a random idea, it's really a tribute to a clbadic SEGA Genesis commercial where in the same way as In the current video, a salesman is trying to convince the customer to acquire a Super Nintendo. You can see it below:
Sonic Mania Plus will have all the content of the original game but will also add two new characters – Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel – and new features as support for four players in the Competition and Time Attack modes.
