General Motors (GM) has announced the launch of its new car rental service between individuals that will allow their owners earn extra money.

The US company GM has stated that GM owners can register their vehicle through Mave, their car service on a shared basis, in which the company offers rentals per hour or per day.

This is a new service that will compete with rival companies such as Getaround and Turo, which allows car owners to rent their cars using online platforms.

It should be noted that this service will be available in US cities such as Chicago, Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan, and in the coming months it may be extended to other markets in different locations. regions of the country

Similarly, the service will be integrated with Maven, the application of rental services by smartphones launched by the same company in 2016, which currently has more than 150,000 members, so that the GM company also created a website that indicates that car owners will be able to set the rental rate, while the vehicle manufacturer will provide insurance and satellite tracking through OnStar.
