A shot was recorded Thursday afternoon, 800 blocks from Bestgate Road, Annapolis, United States.

According to Reuters there are at least 4 dead and several wounded. In addition, the police have already detained an inmate.

The shooting occurred on the premises of Capital Gazette, a newspaper belonging to the Baltimore Sun, according to reports from the staff of the Gazette.

On television, you could see People leaving the building with their hands in the air while the police evacuated them through the car parks.

Phil Davis, a reporter for The Gazette, said that several people were shot dead .

Police were also in the Baltimore Sun Press Room in Baltimore

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives confirmed that they were responding to a "shooting incident" in The Gazette.

Police warned of the possibility of more shooters however, this has not been officially confirmed. Confirmed on Twitter that it was a "active shooter" and that the building had been "evacuated".

President Trump, along with the first lady, were informed of the shooting, according to White House officials. Lindsay Walters, Deputy Press Secretary for the White House, said "our thoughts and prayers are with all those touched".
