To stop polio, it is necessary to stop the transmission of the virus in the three countries where it is still endemic: Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan. Similarly, the occurrence of cases in other countries should be avoided so that the outbreaks do not happen again. Currently, sixty high-risk countries are conducting mbad immunization campaigns to protect their children against polio.
