The Upper House unanimously approved (39 votes) the bill, in the first constitutional process, which declares bad crimes imprescriptible against minors.
The idea, as said Senator Francisco Huenchumilla, chairman of the Constitution Commission charged with the badysis of the project, is that after the 39 approval, senators can make their contributions to improve the important regulations.
For this, it was agreed to receive instructions until Monday, July 23, and that the motion be considered by the United Commissions of the Constitution and the Special Committee for the Treatment of Children's Bills and to teenagers.
As stated, one of the points that should be clarified in the debate in particular is the retroactivity of the standard.
The project was initiated by Senators Jaime Quintana and Ximena Rincón and former Senators Patricio Walker and Fulvio Rossi and aims to highlight the extreme seriousness of crimes of badual connotation committed against minors, allowing those who have victims of such aggression to denounce their perpetration and aggressors when they are truly ready to do so and face it, without running the risk that the legal actions to enforce accountability have prescribed, thus leaving with impunity the facts that have marked them throughout his life.
