NASA [19659005] Australia, 10/22/2018 (The People Online) – A study by the National University of Australia (ANU) confirmed with compelling evidence that the Earth's inner core is solid, It has been badumed since the beginning of the 20th century, but this has never been demonstrated.

Associate Professor Hrvoje Tkalcic and his Ph.D., Schanlar Than-Son Phạm, have developed a method for detecting J-phase seismic waves. A wide variety of waves, so that some move forward and retreat. like train wagons, while others go up and down like waves of the ocean; and depending on the type of wave, the properties of the materials crossed can be identified

A particular variation concerns the phase waves J which cross the inner core of the planet, but they are extremely weak and almost impossible to detect . or observe directly. However, the ANU team found a way to do it.

Instead of directly observing the waves, scientists examined signals that reached two different receptors after a powerful earthquake, and then compared the seismographs of each pair with similarities between them. "From these similarities, we build a global correlogram, that is, a kind of fingerprint of the Earth," Tklacic said in a UNA statement.

Little is known about the Earth's core, its age, exact temperature, or how the electromagnetic field that generates gravitation has been formed or is acting. However, researchers are confident that these new advances in global seismology will deepen their study and understand the process of evolution of our planet.
