Third day of protests in India for the rape of an 8-year-old girl

With banners and the cry of "death to the rapist", protesters gathered at several locations in Mandsaur district, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, to demand the death sentence of the suspect of the Sexual badault against the girl.

A man was accused of cheating an 8-year-old girl out of school while waiting for his father, saying he was bringing her home, according to local police. He would have taken her to an isolated place and brutally raped her to cut her neck. He let her die. Neighbors found it later in this state.

The victim "remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit.It is unable to speak because her vocal cords are damaged by a deep throat," said a doctor who told AFP that asked for anonymity

Security forces arrested a man, who is currently being interrogated, Deputy Director of Mandsaur District Police, SS Kanesh, told AFP that he was accused of rape and attempted murder.

These protests are reminiscent, to a lesser extent, of the wave of demonstrations that led to a mbad rape in New Delhi in 2012, which shocked the world and brought to light the situation of badual violence in India
