Ten cabins of the known motel Los Robles of the sector Placilla of Valparaíso were destroyed by a fire which was registered in early morning of this Friday and that also affected a maestranza . The motel pbadengers were evacuated and were not injured.
The incident was declared around 5:00 am and was apparently caused by strangers who entered the maestranza . Then, the flames spread to the motel of 26 cabins which is quite busy and which is located next to Route 68.
In place c there were ten companies firefighters who proceeded to remove the flammable elements of the maestranza, and then continue with the fight of the flames, which lasted for more than three hours. Finally, around 9:00 am the last homes were extinguished.
Firefighters reported that the origin of the fire is still under investigation, but signs of the presence of unknown persons were found inside of the maestranza . Apparently, there was a robbery and the perpetrators would have caused the flames, then fled.
