“We were surprised to find that in these previously published studies, regular consumption of chili peppers was associated with an overall reduction in risk from all causes, cardiovascular disease and cancer mortality,” said lead author of the report, Dr. Bo Xu. “This highlights that dietary factors can play an important role in overall health.”

While there is data showing that chili eaters appear to have a lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease or cancer, it cannot be determined with certainty that spicy herbs are solely responsible or help prolong the disease. life.
