Chinese company orders Chinese company to sell Grindr application

US National Security officials ordered a Chinese company to sell the Grindr app, a gay dating app, signaling that a range of companies and social media companies were now inaccessible to Chinese buyers.

According to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, known as Cfius, the Chinese owner of Grindr, Beijing Kunlun Tech Co. Ltd., could share information about the users of the application with the Chinese government , who could exploit it for spying, according to people familiar with the matter.
