Chinese rover Zhurong travels more than 410 meters on Mars

China’s Zhurong Mars probe has traveled more than 410 meters on the Red Planet at 8:00 p.m. BJT on Sunday, China’s National Space Administration (CNSA) said, adding that the probe is working well.

Orbiter Tianwen-1, a relay communications satellite, operated for 353 days, CNSA said.

The Chinese mission Tianwen-1, consisting of an orbiter, a lander and a rover, was launched on July 23, 2020. The lander carrying the rover landed in the southern part of Utopia Planitia, a vast plain of the northern hemisphere of Mars, May 15.
