The duo "Fixer Upper" bought a beautiful historic home called Cottonland Castle, located in their home town of Waco, Texas.

"For nearly two decades, Chip and Joanna have viewed the property as a feature of Castle Heights and have even tried to buy it," said spokesman John Marsicano in a statement shared with TODAY Home. .

He confirmed that their company, Magnolia, had bought the property, which "is an iconic piece of Waco's history."

The German-style stone castle was built in 1890. According to Kelly Realtors' listing of Ashley Burgess Weist, it has three bedrooms and three bathrooms with a total area of 6,700 square feet.

However, it takes a little care. The previous owner has started working on some of the renovations, but the list indicates that much remains to be done to complete them completely.

That said, many features deserve to be preserved, including a 9-foot oak entry door that weighs 400 pounds.

There are also rich mahogany wood accents as well as beautiful diamond-shaped windows that give the house a ton of character.

The house has eight fireplaces, one of which is carved in French Caen stone and another in pink granite. Although they need work, there is no doubt that they will be more beautiful and more comfortable once restored.

And a covered outdoor area gives the impression that it will be a beautiful place to dine outdoors one day.

Marsicano said the specific plans for the property had not yet been defined, but "one thing is certain: the efforts of (Chip and Joanna) will aim to complete the expected and deserved restoration of the house".

We may even have the chance to see the progress of the home update on their new television network. After spending five years on HGTV with "Fixer Upper," the couple announced in November that it was in the early stages of creating a lifestyle-oriented media network for Magnolia.

Anyway, one thing is certain: we can not wait to see what they do with this place!
