Chipotle Adds Smoked Breast To Menus Nationwide Following test passed last year.

The chain said the limited-time offer, which is one of its most requested menu items, will go on sale Thursday. However, members of the chain growing rewards program can get it two days earlier – starting Tuesday – if they order through their website or the app.

Chipotle described the brisket as “smoked to perfect tenderness” and seasoned with a blend of spices and Mexican pepper sauce. It is also enhanced with a new sauce based on smoked red peppers. The company said it took two years to develop a “Chipotle-only” recipe.

Brisket was tested in November 2020 using the company’s “step-by-step process” at over 60 restaurants in Ohio and California. Chipotle is adding new items to its menu at select restaurants and evaluating their performance before launching them nationwide. The most recent menu item he tested using this process was Plant-based chorizo in locations in Denver and Indianapolis.

Other offerings that started in a few U.S. cities before expanding nationwide include cauliflower in rice, roast and his popular quesadilla.

Chipotle has performed well over the past few months, despite increasing its menu prices from 3.5% to 4% to cover the costs of higher wages for employees and ingredients. In the second quarter, revenue increased 39% to $ 1.9 billion. Sales at restaurants open for 13 months or more increased 31%.

Chipotle shares have risen 40% this year.
