Appointments for next week at the Clark County COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Site will open at noon Sunday.
Those who can be vaccinated can try to make an appointment here.
Currently, anyone 65 and over is eligible for vaccination, as is anyone 50 and over living in a multigenerational household. Health workers, people living in elderly care facilities, and emergency medical personnel may also be vaccinated. To find out if you are eligible, you can visit the State’s Phase Finder tool.
If you need help making an appointment, you can call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127, then press #. Linguistic assistance is available. Waiting times for the hotline are generally long.
Approximately 800 appointments are available each day at the mass vaccination site located at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds near Ridgefield. The site is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
In its first two weeks, 6,702 people received a dose of the vaccine at the site. This is well above the initially planned rate of 500 vaccinations per day.
Many residents have experienced issues with the appointment portal to book vaccines such as website glitch, freezes or crashes.
If you can’t make an appointment at the fairgrounds, you can browse other places on the Department of Health website. Many sites have few vaccines and it is difficult to make an appointment.
Some eligible people may have to wait several weeks before being vaccinated.
