KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Clay County is the latest metropolitan area to reinstate tighter restrictions to help stop the spread of COVID-19, including limiting indoor gatherings to 10 people or fewer.
As of November 23, establishments that serve food and drink indoors can only operate at 50% capacity and must close by 10 p.m. No more than 10 people per group will be allowed in the sites.
However, “regular business, non-profit or educational activities unrelated to events by workers, students or corporate clients” are exempt from collection limitations, according to a press release.
Masks will be required for everyone inside gyms, fitness centers and recreation centers, all of which can only operate at 50% capacity or less.
Clay County will also require masks to be worn outdoors when six feet or more cannot be maintained with people from separate households.
Residents aged 5 and under are exempt from wearing a mask.
Exemption forms for gatherings of more than 10 people will be available online at noon Wednesday.
