Clayton Police investigate hit-and-run near Highway 70 and Medical Park Drive

CLAYTON, North Carolina (WTVD) – Clayton Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on Sunday morning.

Authorities said this happened at 6:30 am Officers responded to US Highway 70 Business near Yates Drive and found the body of a man on the side of the westbound lanes.

The investigation determined that it was a hit-and-run and a possible homicide.

Clayton Police are looking for a red 1999-2007 Two-Door or Extended Cab Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra.

The truck could have damage to the front end of the side.
