Cleveland Browns MRI news good for Baker Mayfield, good enough for Jarvis Landry

The Cleveland browns received good news on quarterback Baker Mayfield and expected news on wide receiver Jarvis Landry on Monday.

Both players underwent MRI scans for injuries sustained in Sunday’s victory over Le Houston Texans. In Mayfield’s case, the result was positive because he suffered no structural damage to his left shoulder, according to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com.

Mayfield was injured with just under 10 minutes left in the first half when he tackled Houston defensive back Justin Reid after Reid intercepted a pass intended for wide receiver Anthony Shwartz.

Running back Nick Chubb missed four games last season when he suffered an MCL sprain. So it will be a surprise if the Browns don’t put Landry in the injured reserve the next day or two, which means he would miss at least three games.
