VITORIA, Spain – Americans Will Clyburn and Cory Higgins scored 20 points each to lead CSKA Moscow to the EuroLeague title with a 91-83 victory over Efes Istanbul in Sunday's final.

It was the eighth European title of the Russian team, leaving two points behind the Real Madrid record.

Clyburn and Higgins both scored four goals. CSKA as the team scored 14 of 22 from the back of the line. Goalkeeper Nando de Colo had 15 points and four assists.

Shane Larkin scored the highest point of the match with 29 points for a team of Efes who would have otherwise played poorly in his first EuroLeague final.

Led by Larkin, Efes was able to reduce his CSKA lead by nine points after the first and take the lead shortly after half-time.

CSKA was down 68-62 in the fourth quarter, but Larkin brought the deficit down to four points with just under two minutes left.

Clyburn, Higgins and De Colo all hit pairs of free throws in the stretch to seal the win.

"It will be a fight until the end," Higgins said. "They played very well, Larkin played very well, but we just believed in ourselves, and once we got to the championship game, we were not going to let that game go."

Real Madrid, who lost to CSKA in the semi-finals, beat Fenerbahce 94-75 in the match for third place.
