Colin Cowherd has been very critical of the Cleveland Browns since they recruited Baker Mayfield, and this continued when he examined the addition of the two. Odell Beckham, Jr.
Colin Cowherd is not a fan of Baker Mayfield as a franchise leader. He has said this many times since the Cleveland Browns put him in the front row. He even had the quarterback on his show last season and pointed to areas in which Baker thought he could grow as a leader.
Cowherd's feelings have not changed since the Browns have won five of their last eight games of the season under Mayfield, and they have not changed either since they added players such as Odell Beckham, Jr. and Sheldon Richardson this season.
Instead, the sports specialist doubled and said the Browns would be an exciting offense, but would have maturity problems in all areas. And he did not just make a decision against the quarterback during his last speech.
This time, Cowherd is attacking everyone from General Manager John Dorsey to Head Coach Freddie Kitchens and their two additions in OBJ and Richardson. He also described the entire team as "stronger" and "less mature" Kansas City Chiefs.
Cowherd's problem with Mayfield began long before the Browns chose him as he called himimpregnable"Ahead of the 2018 NFL draft. However, he was not as critical of John Dorsey – at least not so vocally – until recently.
One of the claims is that Dorsey's ego led to his being sent back to Kansas City. As for Cleveland, they do not care about his ego because of their desperation to win.
From there, he said the leaders had a more stabilizing force to Andy Reid, while the Browns had a "puppet" in Freddie Kitchens, who would just do what Dorsey had told him.
All Cowherd had to say was bad. He admitted from a football standpoint that Mayfield and OBJ could work given the accuracy of Beckham's number 6 and in-depth play. However, he said loud voices will eventually become too strong.
Cowherd has targeted Cleveland and is clearly not a fan of what they do.
