College friends will not come back until another semester. Show, co-creator Nicholas Stoller, has gone on Twitter to announce that the Netflix comedy will not come back for your viewing pleasure.
"College friends will not come back for a third season," Stoller wrote. "Thank you to everyone who watched it. Have a good day of presidents!
Netflix issued a statement about the news, adding, "We thank designers Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco for creating a wise, entertaining and extremely relatable show. We would also like to thank the team who worked hard and raise a glass in front of the incredibly talented cast, including Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Savage, Cobie Smulders, Nat Faxon, Annie Parisse, Jae Suh Park and Billy Eichner. "
College friends first presented on July 14, 2017 to mediocre critics, but was renewed for a second season of eight episodes a month after its release. Co-created by Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, the comedy starring group consisted of Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Fred Savage and Jae Suh Park. The six of them are Harvard people who have bonded and often complicated relationships while living in New York. The series is described as a humorous exploration of old friendships, old romantic entanglements and a balance between adult life and nostalgia of the past. Stoller directed the series while Delbanco was a writer.
