Miss Colombia for Miss Universe will be elected in September in Medellín

The National Beauty Contest announced that this year it will hold two reigns, the first in Medellín to select the Colombian representative in Miss 2018 Universe , and the next in Cartagena to choose the beauty queen of the year 2019.

According to the organization, the first event called "Rumbo has Miss Universe" will be held in the capital of Antioquia September 30 and the ceremony will be broadcast on Channel RCN.

"The date of the event was established to follow the rules of the Miss Universe Organization, which must have the registration of all participants on October 1 as the deadline," explained the contest in a statement.

In addition, the organization reported that Medellin was chosen as the venue because it is recognized "nationally and internationally in the organization of events."

" Through its vast experience, knowledge and trajectory, the National Beauty Contest will be responsible for selecting jurors in person and each of the Colombian women who will compete for the crown in the program "Rumbo a Miss Universe", they explained.

Another novelty is that, for the first time, the jury of the election will have seven members. Three of them will be figures of international stature, the fourth jury will be a national beauty exreina and the remaining three will be Colombians through the digital platforms of RCN Television, W Radio, Editorial House El Tiempo – Revista Donjuan –

Lovers of the beauty kingdoms can vote for their favorite candidate in the mentioned digital portals. The final count of votes in each counts as a single vote that will be added to that of the juries.
