Alarm in Córdoba for six cases of ah1n1 – Other cities – Colombia

Health authorities in Córdoba set off alarms after confirming the existence of six cases of influenza A virus, known as AH1N1.

The cases are relevant since it is an acute respiratory infection that could cause death to people suffering from the disease.

The Departmental Secretariat of Health confirmed that four of the confirmed cases were detected in Montería, another in San Carlos and the other in Ayapel

"We immediately activated the protocols of care and prevention to prevent the spread of the disease, "said Eduardo Vélez Baquero, Health Secretary of Córdoba.

He noted that the report is derived from the ratio of 48 respiratory specimens collected by the IPS and sent to the National Institute of Health. He indicated that 9 cases were positive, of which 6 correspond to influenza A .
