Cartier shows the social face of luxury. The French jewelry maker has launched its call for the 2019 edition of the International Event 'Cartier Women's Initiative Awards', aimed at entrepreneurs who generate a positive social impact in companies. sectors such as education, health, jewelery, energy and design.

"The history of Cartier revolves around women and now it's about supporting Mexican entrepreneurs and all over the world," said Beatrice Le Metayer, spokeswoman for the initiative . The representative explained that the contest was created in 2006 and awards a prize of $ 100,000 to the winner from each region and $ 30,000 to the finalists.

A jury made up of Cartier experts, from the business school INSEAD and consulting firm McKinsey & Company will select the 21 finalists in the regions in which the call is divided: Latin America – Mexico, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa, as well as than Southeast Asia and East Asia.

The two winners will also receive a program of personalization, access to a network and access to the executive program of INSEAD.

The appeal ends on August 31st. To be eligible, projects must have one to three years of existence and be run by a woman, who must also hold a significant percentage of shares in the company. The jury will take into account the degree of innovation, financial viability, scalability and social impact.
