Changes in the Cencosud dome: Jaime Soler resigns as CEO

Refocused on the Dome of Cencosud. Jaime Soler will leave the general management of the Chilean company on September 30 . The executive resigned last Friday, citing personal reasons.

The Chilean giant, owner of Parisian department stores, accepts the resignation of Soler and, by a declaration, thanks the services he has rendered to Cencosud since 2005, the year of his arrival in the company, although the general direction took over in 2015.

Once the exit of Soler effective, Andreas Gebhardt, who worked until now at Enel Distribución, will badume the general direction of Cencosud from October 1st , according to Capital. [19659003]

Cecosud closed the first quarter of the year with a profit of 52 453 million pesos (83 , 9 million pesos) dollars, which represents a decrease of 23% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The decline in the company's profits exceeded badysts' forecasts which, a few days before Cencosud presented its economic report for the first quarter, had predicted a 13% drop in profits, because of the group's performance in Chile and the negative effect of exchange rates.
