These planes are expected to be completed by the arrival of five over the next six months, while the other two would arrive during the next year.
The aircraft chosen for this are four ATR42s, which have a capacity of 50 pbadengers and three ATR72s, which have 70 seats for travelers.
With this, the airline will reach 10 new destinations, with which it will reach 33 cities. Among the territories that EasyFly aircraft will see are: Cali, Puerto Asis, Florencia, Guapi, Mompox and Barrancabermeja and Bahía Solano.
In addition, it will operate an additional 17 routes, through which it will cover 48 routes in the country, through some routes such as Bogotá-Florencia, Bogota-Puerto Asís, Bogota-Barrancabermeja, Barranquilla-Pereira, among others. "The opening of a new route brings a greater number of pbadengers to these destinations," said EasyFly founder Alfonso Ávila,
. Likewise, the offer on the lines already covered by the airline will increase. For example, the routes to and from Bogota, which will record a 21% increase in its offer, while in those of cities like Medellín, it will be 25%; and Bucaramanga, 20%.
"EasyFly will increase nearly 80% of its operation over the next eight months, and we hope this increase will be 60% by December," said Ávila.
Similarly, Ávila stated that it was expecting to mobilize 1.65 million pbadengers a year, thanks to 4,500 monthly flights that would follow this new investment
Thanks to this operation, Avila-led company would increase its workforce from 650 employees to around 800. "With a 40% increase in operations and 65% of the supply, the company will also develop its team of employees in about 30%, "concluded the founder of EasyFly.
Currently, the airline reaches 60% of the country's departments, but it is expected that this figure will reach 72% by the end of next year, thanks to the investment made.
