More than 60 films make up Colombian Film Week

From July 26 to August 1, begins the Colombian Film Week, created 14 years ago by the Ministry of Culture with the aim of films produced in the country, of different cinematographic genres, at every corner of the national geography.

There will be 215 municipalities in 32 departments, where more than 50 productions created in the last two years will be presented, including 20 films that will screen in 20 prisons across the country and in the 117 rooms with which the National Service SENA Learning.

The film commissioned for the opening of the Colombian Film Week is "Jericó, Soaring Days", released in 2016, under the direction of Catalina Mesa, and produced by Savia Dulce. During the week, the public will be able to choose their favorite film which will be screened on the day of the closing on August 1st.

In addition, in this seventh edition, the public will enjoy 7 national productions via the digital platform Retina Latina: Shadowless City of Bernardo Francisco Cañizares, Which they call the love of Carlos César Arbeláez, Destinations of Alexander Giraldo, Jericó, the infinite flight of days of Catalina Mesa, All is not the eve of Hermes Paralluelo, Without moving the lips of Carlos Fernando Osuna and A woman of Daniel Paeres and Camilo Medina

The event will have 129 regional allies, including universities, district councils and district filmmakers; town halls, governorates, houses of culture, libraries, cultural institutes, collectives, theaters, film festivals and family compensation funds.
