Telefónica closed the second quarter of the year with 4.8 million pay-TV access in Latin America, including its operation in Brazil, the largest in Africa. number of subscribers. On the Peruvian market, Telefónica recorded 1.5 million accesses, growth of 13% over one year "after reaching a net profit of 66,000 during the quarter with records, a differentiation (solution technological and exclusive content with great acceptance of the sports channel) and the success of targeted marketing campaigns in the migration of duets to the trios ". Meanwhile, in Chile, access to pay-TV rose 1.4% year-on-year to 679,000.
For its part, the Hispam Norte unit, which includes Colombia, recorded 1 million access to pay TV. In Colombia, access rose 6.5% year-over-year to 564,000, with a net gain of 17,000 during the quarter. The rest of Hispam Norte's subscribers belong to the operations of Venezuela and Central America.
