They promise to lend money in exchange for supposed insurance: Fogafín on fraudulent companies

The company Fogafin warned against a fraudulent commercial activity in Colombia, ensuring that it would replace its name and logo, in order to grant guarantees supposed to access loans with financial entities. According to this entity, there are illicit companies that would be promising people, who would lend money in exchange for a safe badumption that the Fund offers.

"To give an appearance of legality, these so-called intermediaries misuse the Fogafin logo and the seal identifying products protected by deposit insurance, and issuing false certifications not corresponding to communications produced by the entity ", states in a press release on Fund of Institutional Safeguards Financieras (Fogafín) .

These fraudulent companies promised credit for a high amount of money to users in exchange for the payment of insurance, which would be in this case the alleged business support in case of that the person does not respect the obligation. This way, after the user enters the insurance price, when he approaches to ask for the payout, it turns out that the company disappears.

It should be noted that Fogafin is an entity that is charged with protecting the savings of Colombians. in the event that any of the companies attached to it enter the liquidation process, through the intermediary of deposit insurance, thereby not offering any kind of credits.

For these reasons, the entity called on the public to be aware of any fraudulent activity, and to thoroughly review the information that these people provide them, before making a transaction.
