"Adjustments have been made to the values ​​to be paid by users to the driving partners to mitigate the effect of this tax and minimize the impact on the driver partners' income, however, the community will see a variation of only about 7% of the final value, "said Juan Pablo Wills, director of taxes for the Andean region, Central America and the Caribbean d & # 39; Uber.

Colombia for the 2016 tax reform, foreign technology platforms must already be in charge to start the payment next month.

"With regard to what was determined in the latest tax reform tax on digital platforms with VAT, we emphasize the total willingness of Uber to comply with the applicable regulations. We have advanced internal processes to comply with this regulation, " says Wills.

For its part, we consulted with Cabify Colombia in this regard and although the decision was not made to increase the costs in their tariffs, they are in accordance with the taxes that must be paid in Colombia to legalize their services.

These multinationals are waiting for the decision of the Dian to know in detail what will be the payment of taxes according to the law, because although this Colombian Entity has decided that in August, they must pay VAT, it has been said lately that this date can be run.
