The son of comedian actor Tony Baker has been killed along with two passengers after his car was hit by two street racers and ripped in half in Los Angeles.

Baker’s son Cerain Baker, 21, was killed along with Jaiden Johnson, 20, and Natalee Moghaddam, 19. All were declared dead at the scene.

The trio’s silver Volkswagen had turned left at an intersection and into the path of a Mercedes Benz and Kia that were reportedly in street racing at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday.

“When police and paramedics arrived, they located three people who had been thrown from a silver Volkswagen,” the Burbank Police Department said in a press release.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office later said the three people killed had died from “multiple blunt wounds.”

A fourth passenger in the destroyed Volkswagen, who was not named in police reports, was taken to hospital with “serious injuries”.

The wreckage spread debris over two blocks, and photos show the wrecked Volkswagen with the rear half fully sheared off. Police Sergeant Emil Brimway told NBC 4 Los Angeles that he had never seen such a catastrophic car accident in his 19 years in the police force.

The two occupants of the Mercedes Benz are unharmed.  The Kia caught fire, and its driver, who was alone in the car, was hospitalized and is expected to recover, the New York Post said.
