Confession of ex-Lakers Markieff Morris for the 2020 NBA Finals

The 2020 NBA Finals between the Miami heat and the Los Angeles Lakers has made its mark in the history of the league for several reasons. The fact that it took place inside an unprecedented bubble is perhaps the biggest storyline of all, but one of the more comedic tales has to be Heat striker Duncan Robinson being tagged like a real one Jimmy Neutron.

To be fair, Robinson bears some resemblance to the popular cartoon character. In a new episode of his Podcast, the 27-year-old revealed a very interesting conversation he had recently had with new teammate Markieff Morris, who was himself on the Lakers’ championship-winning team in 2020. Morris frankly told Robinson everything Regarding Jimmy Neutron:

“I want you both to know that I will continue to be humiliated because now that we have Markieff Morris my full time name is Jimmy Neutron,” Robinson said (h / t Sam Leweck of Heat Nation). “Because I recently found out that he was the linchpin of the whole Jimmy Neutron affair. It was him – he was pushing everything. He came to me before a conditioning test, and he said, ‘Hey, I just want you to know it wasn’t Dwight. [Howard]. It was me all the time. It was me all the time.

Kudos to Morris for being completely honest in being the mastermind behind this hilarious issue. Robinson clearly has no ill will against his new Heat teammate, and it looks like it even brought the two closer now that they are playing on the same side.
