KINGSPORT, Tennessee (WJHL) – Health officials have announced that an employee of a restaurant in Kingsport had been diagnosed with hepatitis and that some customers needed to act.

According to the Sullivan County Health Department, an employee of McAlister's Deli located at 2003, N. Eastman Road, was diagnosed with acute hepatitis A.

The health department says that guests who ate at the restaurant from March 11-27 should contact the department for more information.

According to the ministry, McAlister took preventive measures, including closing the store to clean it up and demanding the vaccination of employees.

The Department of Health will offer free hepatitis A vaccines to:
